If you need to open your bag before the final pickup, do not treat LuggageDot’s one-time hourly storage as a reusable locker session. The official LuggageDot pricing page and the Visit Seoul listing say one-time use ends when the locker is opened to retrieve items. The listed 7-day and 14-day term passes allow the locker to be opened and closed during the pass period.
Two short storage periods do not automatically justify a seven-day pass. Compare the pass price with two separately paid one-time sessions, allowing for the risk that a suitable locker may no longer be available for the second session. A staffed service is another option if it confirms that access between drop-off and final pickup is allowed. Keep medicine, passports, chargers, travel documents, and anything needed during the day outside the locker before closing it.
Decide whether the first opening is the final pickup
Choose the session from the action you need:
- One-time hourly storage: use this when the first reopening will be the final retrieval. Opening the locker ends that use.
- 7-day or 14-day term pass: the official pages say repeat opening is allowed during the term. Current listed prices are 39,000 KRW for 7 days and 69,000 KRW for 14 days. After the term, the operator says hourly charges resume.
If you need to take out one item and leave the rest, confirm the repeat-opening condition before paying. If a term pass is disproportionate for a short stay, compare a staffed counter or another service whose temporary-access rule is explicit. Our Korea luggage lockers and storage guide covers the broader fit, access-hour, full-locker, and staffed-storage decision.
The Visit Seoul page describes lockers for carriers up to 32 inches. The operator gives approximate internal dimensions for a large locker, but a nominal suitcase size does not guarantee fit; wheels, handles, shell shape, and thickness still matter. Check the actual bag against the current locker dimensions before depending on it.
Work out the started-hour price before locking the bag
The operator lists 1,000 KRW per locker for each started hour. Its example says 2 hours and 1 minute is billed as 3 hours. Estimate from the time the session will actually start to the time of final retrieval, including delays returning from a train, hotel, attraction, or airport transfer.
For one-time storage, a later charge estimate does not change the first-opening rule. For a term pass, note the end time and the operator’s statement that the rate becomes 1,000 KRW per hour after the pass period. Recheck the operator’s current pricing page before paying; this article does not lock in a future price or resolve a disputed charge.
Keep a payment fallback outside the locker
The operator currently lists physical credit and debit cards, Korean cash, and several mobile-wallet routes. Its pricing page says Apple Pay is not supported and lists 1,000, 5,000, and 10,000 KRW notes for cash payment. A listed card or wallet category does not guarantee that a particular foreign card, issuer, phone, or account will succeed.
If the preferred card fails, try payment with one of the accepted KRW notes. This avoids depending on a mobile-wallet account. If neither card nor cash works, keep the bag with you and contact the operator before leaving it. Keep that cash, the payment card, and the phone used for support outside the locker. The Visit Seoul page says English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean can be selected at the kiosk, but the actual payment and support flow was not tested for this article.
A reservation request is not a confirmed locker
The operator reservation page says a request is confirmed after LuggageDot contacts the traveler. It asks for two preferred, reachable contact methods; email is one available method. If you cannot provide two working routes, email the operator to ask how to proceed before relying on a reservation.
Check live availability, choose only a locker that appears available, and submit the request with contact routes you can actually receive while traveling. Do not treat the submission screen as confirmation. If the request remains pending, contact the operator at luggagedot@gmail.com or +82 10 6448 0100 before relying on the locker. The operator also says customers with a reservation should contact LuggageDot on arrival before using the reserved locker.
The operator home page gives the street address as 1F, 9 Huam-ro 57-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Visit Seoul places it near Seoul Station Exit 12. This is an independent storage shop near the station, not a locker inside Seoul Station, so save the street address and walking route rather than following signs for station coin lockers.
If you already opened the locker too early
Do not assume the same locker remains yours after a one-time session has ended. Keep the locker number, payment record, and displayed status, then ask the operator what current option is available before placing the bag back or paying again. This article does not promise a reopen, pass conversion, refund, price adjustment, or replacement locker.
