Cancel a Galaxy Purchase After Trade-In? Check Where the Old Phone Is

Locate the old phone and separate the payments before trying cancellation again. A new-product order, trade-in application, surrendered device, ordinary assessed value and promotional bonus are different records. Gather the order number, application status, ATM receipt, Mintit messages and amounts received. Ask which record your failed cancellation refers to; an unchanged purchase screen does not tell you where the old phone is.

Use the route for your actual handoff state

Samsung’s Galaxy Trade-In FAQ gives these routes for the described Samsung.com/Galaxy Campus programme: before handoff, use order/delivery lookup → order detail → Galaxy Trade-In cancellation; after Mintit ATM handoff, contact Mintit at 1877-5446. The old phone may be unrecoverable depending on processing. If extra compensation was paid, cancelling the new purchase requires repayment of that extra amount through the Mintit notification route.

The page also contains 2024 campaign dates and models. It establishes neither a current promotion nor your order’s eligibility. Have Samsung identify the programme attached to your actual purchase and confirm the applicable cancellation path. Other sellers may use different procedures. Do not buy, surrender another phone or send money merely because this older campaign page remains accessible.

Match each question to the company holding the record

Ask Mintit: “For this handoff reference, is the phone still recoverable, what processing has happened, and which assessed-value or bonus payments were made?” Ask Samsung: “For this order, what blocks cancellation, which amount must be repaid, and what confirms completion?” Keep both replies together. This lets you identify whether the unresolved issue is device custody, a repayment instruction or the purchase refund, instead of repeatedly creating trade-in requests.

If login or a notification fails, give the responsible support team the existing references and explain the failed step. Ask for a verified case-specific contact and payment route. Do not substitute someone else’s identity, payee details or an unverified transfer request. The published FAQ does not prove that a foreign phone number, bank account or identity method works.

Keep recovery and refund expectations separate

Mark the ordinary device payment and promotional extra amount separately in your records. Repaying a bonus does not establish that the old phone will return; asking about device retrieval does not establish that the new order is cancelled. Retain the case reply and final order status before treating either as settled. No individual recovery, refund date or cancellation outcome was tested for this guide.

Samsung’s published cancellation FAQ checked October 5, 2026 KST; campaign applicability must be confirmed for the existing order.
