T’way Booking After the Trinity Airways Rename: What to Show at the Airport

Do not buy another ticket only because your confirmation says T’way Air while the airport says Trinity Airways. In its rename notice, the carrier says existing bookings remain usable without a change solely for the airline rename and the TW airline code and flight number remain the same. Keep your original booking reference, passenger name, flight number and departure details together. The carrier says a confirmation or an already issued boarding pass showing the old airline name is acceptable; a booking confirmation, however, is not itself a boarding pass.

Match the booking state before leaving

Open the booking through the airline or original seller’s normal route and compare the passenger, date, route and TW flight number with your record. A changed airline name on a receipt is not, by itself, a changed itinerary. If an app cannot retrieve the booking, keep the original confirmation and payment or seller record, and ask the issuing airline or seller to locate the booking. Before paying for another ticket, ask the issuer whether your original booking still stands and what a second purchase would cost.

If you have already received a boarding pass, keep it separately from the booking confirmation. If you have only the confirmation, follow the current check-in process for your flight to obtain a boarding pass. The rename notice does not remove check-in, document or boarding requirements and does not prove that an individual flight is operating as planned. Check current flight status before travelling.

Follow the live counter, not the old logo

The carrier directs passengers to the Trinity Airways counter. It also says a counter’s usual location may change with airport conditions, so check the day-of-departure airport flight information display for the actual counter assigned to your flight. Match the TW flight number and destination rather than relying on an aircraft logo, an old T’way sign or an earlier counter map. Ask airport or airline staff if the display and your booking appear to disagree.

For an unresolved booking question, the notice lists the reservation center at 1688-8686, 07:00–19:00 KST. It separately lists +82-2-2656-2899 for calls originating in Europe, 19:00–07:00 KST; that is not a general overseas or English-service promise. If an app, identity step or call fails, preserve the exact error and booking reference for the issuer or staffed airline counter. The announcement explains the name transition. Staff must still check the individual reservation and travel documents; an unresolved booking requires their decision.
