NAVER Verified Name Change for Foreign Residents Abroad

If your NAVER legal name is already verified and has since changed, use the correction route for that same account. For a foreigner living outside Korea who cannot use own-name mobile or i-PIN verification, NAVER describes a signed-in document request. This is different from correcting a first-time passport-verification mismatch.

Choose the route for the existing ID

Check that you can sign in to the ID whose verified name needs changing. If you have an eligible own-name phone or i-PIN, use My Profile → Change legal name. Otherwise, open the overseas help page above and use its Foreigners change-request section. The document route is for residents outside Korea; someone currently living in Korea has a different branch.

Give your name before and after the change and a valid, unexpired ID issued in your country of residence. Leave the name, birth date, gender and validity date readable, mask the photo and address, and complete the consent step. Submit from the same signed-in ID through NAVER's official request path. A document sent to an account-change agent or a different login is not that request.

Check the record after the response

Keep a private note of the requested change and submission reference. When NAVER responds, inspect the verified account record rather than assuming that a sent request is an approved change. Avoid making a time-sensitive reservation depend on an uncompleted correction.

An account correction also does not establish that a booked ticket or merchant record has changed. Ask the actual seller which attendee name and document it will check, and whether its own record can be updated before its deadline. Our ticket passport-name guide explains that separate comparison. Do not cancel a scarce ticket or create another identity while those effects remain unclear.

If you cannot sign in, resolve access through NAVER's official login help first. This overseas correction route does not establish a signed-out shortcut or a guaranteed processing time.
