Discover Seoul Pass Refund: Check Seller and Registration First

Keep the pass in its present state while you identify the seller and refund route. Do not register a Card, enter a CU receipt PIN or scan a benefit just to see whether it works. Those actions can change eligibility even when you have visited no attraction.

Match the seller to the pass state

Find the payment date, original seller, receipt and order number. Check whether you have a physical Card or a Mobile Pass, and what the order records as collected, registered or used. The official pass terms distinguish these routes:

PurchaseRefund request route
Direct online Card, not collectedCancel within 30 days of payment.
Direct Card already receivedUnused Card and receipt: return at Myeongdong Tourist Information Center within 30 days of payment.
Affiliate online CardNot collected: seller policy. Collected: unused Card and receipt, return at Myeongdong or Seoul Tourism Plaza within 30 days; seller refund policy applies.
Offline CardOriginal seller, unused, within 30 days of payment.
Mobile PassOriginal seller, unused, within 30 days of payment.

The terms block refunds after Card app registration, transit use, loss or use of a free/coupon facility; a gifted Mobile Pass and partial refund of a multi-pass order are also excluded. Payment-method issuer conditions can take priority. A remaining T-money balance follows separate issuer rules; the T-money guide helps distinguish transport value from the pass purchase.

If your record is unclear, send the seller the order number and ask it to identify the exact blocking state. An unopened email does not establish that the pass is unused. Ask how an approved refund would return to your original payment method; an eligible request is not a guaranteed foreign-card payout.

CU receipt: stop before entering the PIN

The CU guide covers a cash-bought Mobile Pass. Its receipt PIN has 17 characters: CU plus 15 digits. Refunds require the receipt at the same CU store, within 30 days of purchase and before the PIN is entered in the app. A lost receipt is not reissued and cannot be refunded through this route.

Keep the paper receipt. Another branch, an app screenshot or a different order record is not a confirmed substitute. If you cannot use the stated route, ask the pass operator whether any review is possible before making another purchase.

Included eSIM: activation and refund are different gates

The included eSIM guide says eSIM use does not activate pass validity. However, an eSIM refund requires a Discover Seoul Pass refund, and no eSIM exchange or refund is offered after pass activation. For an eSIM issue, it directs users to My Page → My Order or +82-1644-1060.

A physical Card must be registered in the app to obtain its eSIM. That registration independently blocks the Card refund under the pass terms. Resolve the refund question before registering; “no attraction visited” is not enough. If account access fails, the phone number is an inquiry route, not a promise to restore login or approve a refund.

SKT roaming bundle: contact its seller about the whole order

The SKT offer concerns a qualifying direct LTE eSIM order of at least three days, with a Royal Palace benefit for purchases from February 10, 2026. Its stated registration/use deadline is December 31, 2026. The code needs purchase verification and Discover Seoul Pass app login/registration; the code alone is not admission. Unused bundled benefits do not produce a discount or partial refund.

Keep the SKT order, benefit-code state and eSIM use record together. The pass refund route does not settle cancellation of the whole SKT product. Ask SKT about that order’s applicable terms through skroaming@sktelecom.com or +82-2-6343-9000. Email provides an inquiry option when app access is unavailable; it does not guarantee English service, eligibility or a refund.
