PanStar Stored an Item at Security? Keep the Storage Receipt

Use this route only when PanStar security actually accepted an item for ashore storage and issued a storage receipt on a local Grace or Busan One-Night cruise. Keep that receipt through the trip. Before boarding, ask staff where to collect the item on return. After disembarkation, show the receipt at that collection point; the Busan One-Night procedure names the ticket counter.

First decide whether this receipt route applies

The current PanStar Grace boarding procedure and Busan One-Night boarding procedure describe the same sequence: an item accepted for storage during security inspection is kept ashore, and the passenger receives a storage receipt for collection after disembarkation.

Use that sequence only if both conditions are true:

  • Staff took the item into custody rather than merely refusing it at security.
  • Staff issued a storage receipt tied to that custody.

The procedure does not say that every prohibited or restricted item will be accepted for storage. It also does not establish this route for Tsushima, Osaka or another international sailing, where separate terminal, customs and document rules may apply.

Keep the receipt until the item is returned

Store the receipt somewhere separate from the held item. Confirm the collection point with staff before boarding. After the local cruise returns and you disembark, follow the handover instructions and show the receipt before leaving the terminal area. The Busan One-Night procedure explicitly directs returning passengers to the ticket counter; the Grace procedure says to reclaim the stored item using the receipt.

Do not treat a photo, booking confirmation, passport or another document as an automatic substitute. The published procedure identifies the storage receipt as the pickup record and does not promise an alternate-ID release method, a retention period or a successful release without that record.

If the receipt is missing, stop before exiting

Stay with the operator’s staffed collection or ticket counter and explain that security accepted the item for ashore storage but the receipt is missing. Give staff the actual cruise, date and passenger details attached to the custody event, and ask them to trace the custody record. This is a request for staff review, not a guaranteed alternate release route.

If the counter cannot resolve the record, PanStar lists passenger inquiry at 1577-9996/9666. Its sales-inquiry address is cruise1@panstar.kr if a written follow-up is needed. These contacts do not guarantee English service, a reply time, storage duration or release without the receipt.
