The member account and the ticketed passenger can be different, but the passenger field must identify the person who will fly. Air Busan’s Korean FAQ provides an initial-booking route for an existing member who is not traveling.
Decide before entering passenger information
Use this route only while creating the reservation. If a ticket has already been issued to one person, the same screen cannot substitute a different traveler.
Have the friend’s passport or other travel document available with their permission. Copy the legal name carefully and compare the order and spelling before payment. Do not enter the account holder merely because that name is already stored in the member profile.
Follow the member-account booking sequence
The current Air Busan Korean FAQ gives this sequence:
- Log in to your own existing Air Busan member account.
- Select the intended itinerary.
- At passenger information, select “회원 본인이 탑승하지 않는 경우”, the option indicating that the member is not traveling.
- Enter the actual passenger’s legal name, then continue the ordinary booking process.
The FAQ describes the Korean label. It does not confirm that the current English interface uses an identical phrase or position, so verify the meaning before continuing.
Review the passenger, not only the payer
Before payment, recheck the passenger name, itinerary and contact information shown in the booking summary. The person whose account or payment method is used is not automatically the person named on the ticket.
The FAQ does not promise that a new signup, foreign-issued payment method or every payment attempt will succeed. It also does not remove fare, document or route conditions for the actual passenger.
If the ticket already has the wrong person
Stop before trying to use the initial-booking checkbox as a transfer tool. Air Busan says an issued ticket cannot be changed to another passenger. A spelling issue for the same person follows the airline’s name-correction review; a genuinely different traveler requires asking the issuer about refund and making a new booking in the traveler’s name.
Refund eligibility, the same fare and replacement-seat availability are not guaranteed. Confirm the old ticket’s status and the new passenger record before relying on the trip.
