A real-time bank-transfer booking follows a different recovery route from a card decline. Air Busan’s Korean FAQ says this payment type cannot be changed online. Its stated route is to refund the existing ticket and buy a new one.
Confirm that this is the bank-transfer branch
Open the booking and payment record. Verify that the ticket was paid by real-time bank transfer, identify the ticket issue date, and list every sector in the itinerary. An error after entering a foreign card is a different problem. Start with the foreign-card rejection checks instead; a card error does not establish that these bank-transfer rules apply.
The current Air Busan Korean FAQ does not promise that the original fare, flight or seat will still be available after refund. Check the replacement price and availability, but do not create a second booking until you understand what will happen to the first one.
Check three limits before requesting a refund
First, compare today’s date with the ticket’s issue date. The FAQ allows an online refund within 180 days from issue. Beyond 180 days, it directs inquiries to the reservation center at 1666-3060 rather than promising an online refund.
Second, check whether the boarding date has passed. Once it has passed, the FAQ says the website refund route is unavailable and directs the passenger to the reservation center at 1666-3060. That number is a published inquiry route, not a promise that a late refund will be accepted or that service is available in English or from an overseas telephone.
Third, inspect the complete itinerary. The FAQ says a round-trip ticket cannot be partially refunded online. Do not cancel one sector on the assumption that the other will remain valid.
Use a refund-then-repurchase sequence
Save the reservation number, issue date, payment record, itinerary and current fare before taking action. Ask which complete ticket or itinerary must be refunded, what fees apply, how the bank-transfer refund will be returned, and when the cancellation becomes final.
Only then decide whether to buy the replacement itinerary. Refund approval, return timing and replacement availability are separate questions. A refund request does not reserve the new fare, and viewing a replacement flight does not cancel the old booking.
If the online refund control is unavailable
Record the exact message and time rather than repeating payment or creating overlapping bookings. If the boarding date has passed or the website refuses the eligible route, use Air Busan’s stated reservation-center inquiry and provide the issue date, itinerary and payment evidence.
Ask for the current ticket state and the next accepted step. Do not assume that support will waive the time boundary, permit a partial round-trip refund, or restore a fare after repurchase.
