Treat the flight ticket and selected seat as two records. Changing a Trinity flight does not establish that its prepaid seat moved with it. Check the fare, seat type and deadline before cancelling or buying another seat.
1. Record the ticket and seat states
Save the original flight, new proposed flight, fare type, seat number, seat-payment receipt and departure time. Identify whether the seat was included with a business fare or purchased separately as a premium seat.
If the airline changed or cancelled the flight, keep that notice too. Trinity’s current prepaid-seat rules say a discount coupon used for the seat purchase is normally not reissued after cancellation, except when the airline changes or cancels the flight. The exception still does not prove that the same seat is available on the replacement flight.
2. Use the deadline for the actual fare and seat
For general event, smart and normal fares, the page gives a 25-hour-before-departure change or refund deadline for all seat types. Its premium-seat purchase window can remain open until four hours before departure, but that later purchase window does not extend the earlier change or refund deadline.
For a separately paid premium seat attached to a business fare, the page lists 35 minutes before a domestic departure and three hours before an international departure for change or refund. A seat included in the business fare follows that fare’s refund rules. Identify which record you have before applying a deadline; the two arrangements do not establish the same refund result.
3. Cancel and repurchase only when permitted
For a permitted voluntary seat change, Trinity describes cancelling the selected seat and purchasing an available seat again. If you are changing the flight as well, first ask the issuer whether the old seat will be refunded automatically or needs a separate cancellation. The page describes automatic seat refunds for eligible itinerary changes; it does not require every passenger to cancel the seat manually before changing the flight. Check the recorded result before paying again.
A seat shown on the map is not proof of a confirmed purchased-seat record. The original seat price, location and availability are not guaranteed on the new flight.
4. Reconfirm after an airline schedule change
Trinity directs passengers to request a seat-availability check after a schedule change through its reservation center at 1688-8686, published for 07:00–19:00 KST, or through its official customer-inquiry channel. These are inquiry routes; they do not promise English service, international telephone access or a particular seat.
Provide the airline-change notice, old and new flight details, and seat receipt. Ask separately whether the seat payment will be refunded and whether a used discount coupon can be reissued under the airline-caused exception. Confirm the available seat and payment needed for a new purchase. Keep the response until both the flight and seat show the intended final state.
