Check the gas provider at both addresses and arrange each move visit before moving. This guide covers Seoul City Gas jobs; use the provider responsible for the other address if it differs. Move-out and move-in are separate: a new connection does not settle the old address or cancel its autopay. The company’s current move-in and move-out guide describes those jobs, so one reservation does not complete both.
Move-out (전출): settle the old address
For move-out, give the local customer centre the address, moving date, and contact details early enough to arrange qualified service. The guide says a qualified worker removes the stove connection and seals the gas line. It also requires a meter reading and settlement of the gas used there.
Cancel the old automatic payment separately before moving. Save the reservation, meter reading, final bill, payment, and autopay cancellation records. A paid bill does not show that the valve work or autopay cancellation was completed.
Move-in (전입): arrange the new connection
Confirm the new address’s provider first. If it is Seoul City Gas, arrange the licensed connection, ask for the meter and earlier balance to be checked, and complete the new use contract. Request a name change when the user changes. Add autopay only after confirming that contract and payment account.
Do not assume a balance belongs to you because it appears at the address. Ask which usage period and contract it belongs to before paying. The guide tells incoming users to request a check of the previous resident’s unpaid balance and settlement; it does not say that debt automatically transfers to the next resident.
Check appointments and settlement separately
Keep a separate note for each address: provider and contract, requested job and visit date, and what is still unconfirmed. For example, a new-address reservation says nothing about whether the old address’s final bill was paid or its autopay stopped. Check those records separately rather than using one confirmation for the entire move.
Use 전출예약 for move-out and 전입예약 for move-in on the current reservation screen. Check the selected tab’s visit hours and advance-booking rule; the online forms say same-day booking is unavailable. Ask the local centre to confirm the cost for that address and job, rather than relying on an old fee table or assuming identical Sunday availability.
If phone or SMS access blocks the reservation
The current reservation screen asks for a Korean mobile prefix and SMS verification. Its contract-number lookup also asks for the recorded holder’s name and mobile number, so that lookup is not an independent workaround for someone who cannot receive the message.
Use the local customer centre route listed by Seoul City Gas for the address. The main number is 1588-5788; ask it how to identify the responsible centre when the bill or landlord does not make that clear. The site does not promise overseas dialing, English service, a slot, or completed verification by phone.
If your phone cannot place the call, use a call-capable phone while keeping the request in your own case and follow any agent-authorization requirement. Do not use another person’s identity or account. A landlord may identify the provider or centre, but that does not establish authority to file the request or guarantee the work.
