Missing IKEA Assembly Parts in Korea? Check the Number Before Requesting

Find the exact part number in the assembly instructions before submitting an IKEA Korea spare-parts request. A missing screw, handle, or plug can use a different route from a larger furniture component, and a wrong completed request is difficult to edit or cancel.

1. Identify the product and numbered part

Open the assembly manual for the exact product and match the drawing to the missing item. Save the product number, part number, quantity, and a private photo of the place where it belongs. Do not choose a similar-looking part from another model.

IKEA Korea’s current assembly and spare-parts page says only parts with a part number can be requested through the self-service flow. If the manual shows two or more part numbers for what you need, the page directs the customer to chat with the product number and part numbers. Use that check instead of placing speculative duplicate requests.

2. Choose the correct parts route

The self-service route covers listed small assembly parts such as screws, handles, and plugs and describes the request as free. Other furniture parts are handled through an IKEA store or customer support. Confirm the category before entering delivery details; a numbered small part does not prove that a larger component is available through the same form.

The public page does not establish foreign-account admission, a supported overseas phone number, English assistance, or availability of every part. If the form or chat cannot handle the request, use the current website contact route or ask 1670-4532 which channel handles that exact product and part. Do not share an account password or one-time code with an informal helper.

3. Check every field before submitting

Enter the exact part number, quantity, recipient details, and delivery address shown in the form. Save a copy of the submitted information and any request reference. Keep separate notes for separate part numbers so that a later delivery can be matched to the request that created it.

IKEA gives an estimated two to four weeks for receipt and says delivery status becomes difficult to check after carrier handoff. That is an estimate, not a guaranteed arrival window. Do not schedule assembly, a move, or disposal of the furniture around the earliest date without a confirmed result.

4. If the submitted request is wrong, restart carefully

IKEA says an ordinary completed request is difficult to edit or cancel and tells the customer to submit again. Before doing so, record the first request, identify exactly what was wrong, and ask whether the earlier request can still ship. The instruction to resubmit does not prove the first request was cancelled or that duplicate parts will not arrive.

For multiple needed part numbers, use chat with the product number and the full part-number list instead of repeating guesses. For a larger or unnumbered furniture part, stop using the small-parts form and ask the store or support route what evidence it needs. Keep the recovery focused on the part-number request; replacing or returning the whole furniture order is a separate decision.
