Use My Reservation to request a change, then verify that the revised details were saved. If cancelling, first identify whether the reservation was paid in advance: the published refund figures are expressly for advance-paid customers. The FAQ leaves the result at exactly 24 hours before pickup unstated.
A requested change is not a saved change
The official Lotte Rent-a-Car FAQ says customers can check and alter reservation details through My Reservation. After making a request, reopen the reservation and compare the branch, pickup date and time, return details, driver, vehicle, payment state, and confirmation number.
Keep the prior confirmation until the revised record is clear. A form submission, email sent, or support conversation does not by itself prove that inventory was moved or the original reservation changed.
If the online record does not update, the FAQ lists reservation support at +82-2-797-8000 and reseng@lotte.net on weekdays from 08:30 to 19:00 KST. The site footer separately shows general English customer service from 09:00 to 19:00; do not treat that general window as the reservation desk’s stated hours or as a guarantee of an English outcome.
The cancellation figures are for advance-paid reservations
For customers who paid in advance, the FAQ publishes these branches:
- Cancel more than 24 hours before scheduled pickup: 100% refund.
- Cancel less than 24 hours before scheduled pickup: total payment refunded minus a KRW 3,000 cancellation fee.
- Fail to arrive within two hours after scheduled pickup without prior notification: 90% of the total payment refunded.
The FAQ does not state which side applies at exactly 24 hours. Ask the operator and save the timestamp rather than rounding it into either published branch. Pay-later, branch-issued, partner-channel, or differently contracted reservations may follow another payment or cancellation path; the advance-paid figures do not settle them.
For a Jeju cancellation due to a natural disaster, the FAQ says the cancellation fee is waived. That narrow sentence does not promise a full refund for every weather problem, route disruption, or personal travel change.
If pickup will be late, notify before the scheduled time
The no-show definition uses two conditions: failure to arrive within two hours after the pickup time and no prior notification. Contact the branch or reservation support before pickup if delay is possible, and record when and how notice was given.
The two-hour wording does not promise that the vehicle will be held for two hours, that a late pickup is accepted, or that notice automatically preserves the reservation. Ask for a changed pickup confirmation and check the live reservation state.
Do not create a replacement until both states are clear
A new booking can expose you to a second payment while the first reservation remains active, and the desired vehicle may disappear while a change is pending. Create a replacement only after confirming the original reservation’s changed or cancelled state and the replacement’s actual availability and price.
Keep the original confirmation, revised or cancellation record, request timestamps, support reply, payment record, and refund result. Do not assume that cancelling the first reservation holds inventory for the second or that an expected refund has reached the original payment method.
The published support routes do not guarantee overseas-call access, email response time, successful card processing, an accepted change, or continued vehicle availability.
