Camellia Vehicle to Busan: Bring the Correct Original Documents

This checklist is for Camellia’s Hakata-origin route for a Japanese-registered private vehicle. It does not establish that any foreign car or driver may enter Korea. Before paying for vehicle transport, match the registration document, ownership state and customs route to Camellia’s current requirements.

Match the registration record first

The current Camellia vehicle-transport page asks for a registration certificate shown in both Japanese and English, labeled 登録証書. It explicitly says this is not the registration-details certificate labeled 登録事項等証明書.

The vehicle inspection certificate must remain valid for at least one month at the time of return. The driver also needs both a Japanese driving licence and an international driving permit, the driver’s passport and Korea stay details (a hotel name is acceptable). Camellia’s counter instructions call for original documents.

Stop if the document is the wrong type, is only a copy or will not meet the return-date validity rule. Ask the operator whether the missing original can be corrected before arranging terminal travel; the page does not promise an exception.

Bind the documents to the customs route

Temporary import and carnet clearance do not use the same original-document set. Camellia lists the registration certificate under temporary import and the carnet book under carnet clearance, alongside the applicable original licence, inspection and passport records. If a power of attorney is required, the original is collected.

After permission, the page says the temporary import declaration permit and held originals are returned. Keep them secure because they are needed for the return trip. This handback does not itself guarantee Korean customs admission or legal driving eligibility.

Stop at the ownership and vehicle exclusions

Camellia says it does not accept a company-owned vehicle, a vehicle registered for cargo use or an electric vehicle. For a spouse-name ownership case, the page asks for proof of the family relationship and a power of attorney. Do not extend that wording to every joint-owner arrangement; show the actual registration and ask Camellia which authority record is required.

Resolve a failed gate before the terminal

Camellia’s contact page lists 092-262-2323 in Japan; the corresponding international format is +81-92-262-2323. The page also links an inquiry form, but it does not describe that form as an accepted vehicle booking or customs approval.

If the vehicle route cannot be confirmed, arrange a passenger-only trip only after confirming its separate booking, or custody with a party that has separately agreed to receive the vehicle. Neither choice promises free cancellation, storage or transfer of an existing vehicle booking.
