Jeju Olle–Camino Joint Certificate: Choose One Issuer

For one qualifying completion, choose Spain or Jeju as the issuing location. The Jeju Olle Foundation says the two sides manage a shared completion list, so the same completion cannot receive the joint certificate in both places.

Compare the three situations before applying

The current Joint Completion guide separates these cases:

  • First joint certificate: complete more than 100 km on the Jeju Olle Trail and more than 100 km on the Way of St. James, then choose one issuing location.
  • Later new completion: completing both trails again can qualify for another joint certificate.
  • Lost joint certificate: the guide says it is, in principle, not reissued.

A later repeat completion is a new qualifying event. It is not a replacement route for a certificate already issued and lost.

Prepare the two proof records before choosing a location

The guide allows an applicant to present photos of the certificate from each trail. If the Jeju Olle certificate does not show the name in English, it instructs the applicant to write the English name on that certificate first. A person who obtained the separate distance certificates earlier may still request the joint certificate.

Keep readable images of both certificates and use the same English name across the application evidence. The page does not publish a universal office schedule, pickup identity checklist or remote reissue procedure, so confirm the chosen issuing location’s current intake details before making a detour.

Do not treat the Hall of Fame as a replacement

Joint-certificate recipients are registered in the programme’s Hall of Fame with a photograph and travel record. The guide does not say that this listing replaces a lost certificate or creates a right to a duplicate from the other country.

If the original is lost, ask the issuing organization what record remains, but do not promise reissue. Preserve a scan after issuance; it may document what was received, although the page does not state that a scan substitutes for the original certificate.
