Kampu Ferry Payment Stages: Online Fare, Port Charges, and Bicycle Cash

A paid Kampu Ferry online fare is only one payment stage. The operator’s current fare and baggage page separates port check-in charges and the cash-only onboard payment for an unpacked bicycle.

Put each cost at the correct payment stage

Start with the route, sailing date, cabin, passengers, and any bicycle. Keep the issued fare breakdown rather than relying on the amount that left the card account.

Check the current sailing and ask what remains payable at the actual departure port. The page does not promise the currency, card acceptance, change, or other payment handling available at the counter on your day.

A bicycle bag changes the branch, not every acceptance condition

Decide whether the bicycle will be in the specified bag before asking for a total. The page treats a qualifying bagged bicycle as free ordinary carry-on; an unpacked bicycle uses cash onboard. Kampu excludes electric bicycles from carry-on and checked baggage, without presenting battery removal as a workaround.

Measure and weigh the packed bicycle, and ask the operator to confirm that the actual case and sailing qualify. For an unpacked bicycle, confirm the listed cash requirement and prepare the accepted cash before boarding. A passenger-fare receipt does not reserve space for an item that fails the carriage or packing conditions.

Resolve a payment or packing gap before carriage

Before leaving for the terminal, write down four answers: which fare is issued, which charges remain at the departure port, what payment medium that counter currently accepts, and how the bicycle will be classified. Keep enough confirmed cash for the unpacked-bicycle branch rather than assuming the online card can be reused.

If you cannot arrange the required cash or qualifying packing, decide whether to travel without the bicycle or postpone taking it; confirm the passenger booking separately. Paying another online amount or arriving with an unconfirmed case does not change the equipment rule. The cited page does not establish an alternative carrier that will accept it.
