If a school, employer or authority asks for your Korean entry and exit history, first confirm that it wants the Certificate of Facts Concerning Entry and Exit (출입국에 관한 사실증명). Government24’s service page distinguishes applying for yourself from having someone apply for you: a proxy cannot use the online application channel. That remains true even if a friend in Korea can access Government24.
Can I request my own record online?
The service lists internet issuance for a self-application and describes it as free. Before relying on that route, check whether you can complete its current identity and account steps and whether the receiving institution accepts the resulting document format. The public service listing is not proof that a foreign passport, overseas phone number or particular authentication method will work for your account. If online access fails, use the visit route rather than asking someone else to log in as you.
What changes if another person applies?
Government24 allows a proxy application at an eligible office, not online. Open the page’s current required-document rows for your applicant category and the proxy route before anyone travels. For an authorized proxy, the page lists authorization, a copy of the principal’s ID, and the proxy’s ID. Its foreign-applicant office list is separate from the Korean-national list. Ask the selected office which identification it accepts for your situation and whether any special applicant-category documents apply. If you are overseas, arrange the required copies or prescribed forms only after it confirms the route.
The service page lists immigration and local-government offices among receiving locations for foreign applicants, but confirm the actual counter and hours before a visit. It lists KRW 2,000 per copy for in-person issuance, while internet issuance is free. The fee distinction does not imply that every applicant or proxy will be accepted at every listed office.
What if the requested record is different?
Ask the recipient for the Korean or English name of the record and the period it needs. Entry and exit facts concern movements across the border; they are not, by themselves, proof of a current visa, residence status or foreign registration. If the recipient actually needs one of those records, ask for its named service instead. If an office cannot issue the entry and exit certificate with the documents you brought, get the exact missing item or channel from that office before making another trip. No certificate issue or recipient acceptance is guaranteed by the service listing.
