If a foreign child’s online registration fails, contact the city, county or district office and the hourly-care managing agency first. I-Sarang identifies this assisted registration route for foreign households. Then check the class: an independent class can use telephone booking; an integrated class cannot. Resolving registration does not reserve a place.
Identify the child record and the class
The I-Sarang FAQ says foreign-household children can be registered through the responsible bodies and use the service at the full self-pay rate of KRW 5,000 per hour. Ask which identification and child records are accepted for your family, and how you will pay if you do not have the listed Korean payment card. Do not substitute another person’s account or assume a foreign card is accepted.
The Central Childcare Support Center lists independent-class eligibility as six months to under 36 months; integrated classes extend to the applicable two-year-old class. Confirm that class’s birth-date range and the provider’s actual age group. This is designated hourly childcare, not an unrestricted tourist babysitting service.
Independent class: an assisted-registration phone route
For an independent class (독립반), agency- or provider-assisted registration leads to phone-only reservations, according to the FAQ. The booking guide gives 1661-9361; same-day requests close at 2 p.m. Identify the provider, child record and required hours, then obtain the booking result. The route avoids needing to complete the online reservation yourself, but capacity and payment arrangements still need confirmation.
Integrated class: no telephone bypass
An integrated class (통합반) requires the parent to register the child directly through PC/mobile and book online. Same-day booking is unavailable. If this registration or authentication flow cannot be completed, the independent-class number cannot book an integrated place. Ask the managing agency about a suitable independent provider and assisted registration instead; confirm its eligibility and availability before changing plans.
Give the agency the exact failed step—registration, login, class selection or no available hours. A nearby designated provider outside your residential district may also be considered: the FAQ says use is not restricted to the residence area. A different provider still needs a valid child record and a confirmed reservation.
