Report a damaged, incomplete, or missing Laundrygo item promptly, then stop further washing, repair, or disposal until the evidence is preserved. For problems with returned clothes, the terms set a seven-business-day reporting period from receipt. If a whole order has not arrived, report the missing delivery now; do not wait for a receipt date. Save the service record, acceptance and delivery times, item details, photos, care label, and purchase evidence before deciding whether restoration or compensation is the right request.
Fix the custody timeline before arguing about fault
The Laundrygo terms distinguish loss during handling, acceptance, or delivery from loss before operator acceptance or after delivery. A bag placed outside the door does not by itself prove when Laundrygo accepted each garment. Put the collection request, pickup notice, operator intake or inspection record, delivery completion, and the time you discovered the problem in one timeline.
Photographing each item and its care label before collection is sensible personal recordkeeping, but Laundrygo’s terms do not make it a required Laundrygo step. If no earlier photo exists, preserve what you do have: the order record, item count, tags, packaging, delivery notice, current condition, and any messages about intake risk or an omitted item.
Open the problem report before changing the evidence
The terms route a damage or cleaning-defect report through Customer Service by 1:1 inquiry, chat, or phone. Use the channel available in the existing order, identify the exact item, and save the submitted text, timestamp, attachments, and case reference. The terms say Laundrygo may request photos or physical recovery of the item.
Do not wash the garment again, send it to another repairer, discard packaging, or separate an accessory from the item before asking how Laundrygo wants the evidence preserved. If the item is missing, list every piece handed in and every piece delivered back rather than reporting only a total bag count.
The seven-business-day rule is not the same as saying every later right automatically disappears. The terms state a narrow exception: within six months after receipt, proof through the Korea Consumer Agency or Korea Consumer League that damage resulted from the cleaner’s intentional or negligent conduct can prevent the stated exemption. That is not a general six-month extension or a promise that either organization will decide the case in the customer’s favor.
Prepare for restoration before calculating compensation
Laundrygo’s terms state restoration as the first response to a damaged garment and compensation when restoration is judged impossible. They also allow the company to deny responsibility if the evidence shows that cleaning or delivery did not cause the problem. Ask for the recorded condition, the proposed restoration method, and the reason if Laundrygo says the cause falls outside its service.
Check the service category and any intake warning. The terms exclude damage after the company warned of a cleaning risk and the customer asked it to proceed. They also distinguish 생활빨래, everyday water-wash laundry sent without individual inspection, and list excluded conditions. Ask which term and recorded facts apply to your item; a visible defect alone does not establish the company’s responsibility.
The separate consumer dispute criteria use the purchase price and an age-based compensation rate. Their stated age runs from purchase to cleaning, regardless of how much the item was worn. The terms identify the item name, purchase price, and purchase date as proof fields. Preserve the receipt or order history and the care label, but do not calculate a payout from the table or assume full replacement value.
For a set, document which pieces were actually handed in. The criteria generally assess a set as a whole, but say that only the submitted piece is considered when the customer handed in only part of the set. For a detachable accessory, show whether it was submitted and whether it is necessary for the garment to function; those facts can change what is assessed.
Keep the claim separate from storage or account access
A 1:1 inquiry, chat, or phone reference in the terms does not prove that a foreign account will pass login or identity checks, that service is available in English, or that a claim has been accepted.
The current Laundrygo homepage says an in-app 1:1 inquiry can be submitted 24 hours a day. That describes submission, not reply time. If the app is inaccessible, preserve the offline order record, photos, and discovery time. From a working phone, ask the public company number, 1833-3429, which current channel can register an existing-order claim. It is a general company line, not a confirmed claims desk; its hours, language support, claim intake, and response time are not stated here. A helper may assist with translation while the customer remains involved, but should not take over the account or receive a password or one-time code.
Check which operator holds the items. For a separate Cleantopia storage order with an early-release problem, use the Cleantopia storage-release guide. Its group dates, storage refund, and franchise handover steps do not decide a Laundrygo garment claim.
Keep the final record in stages: report submitted, item or photos received for review, cause decision, restoration offered or rejected, and compensation decision if restoration is impossible. A submitted report is not proof of causation, approval, restored condition, or payment.
