PanStar Tsushima Booking: Which Contact Fields Are Required?

PanStar requires a contact number for a Tsushima reservation; optional email does not replace that field. Before paying, confirm that the booking accepts your actual details, then add a reachable notice contact where the operator permits it. The field list alone does not establish foreign-number acceptance or successful identity verification.

Required and optional details do different jobs

The current PanStar Tsushima sailing page displays this split under Requirements for Reservation:

  • Required: name, English name, date of birth, passport number, contact number and address.
  • Optional: email address, local contact in Japan and address.

Enter the required fields from the passenger’s actual booking record. Keep the spelling and number that the completed reservation accepts. The page asks for a passport number; this field list alone does not establish which physical document must be shown at check-in, how a name correction works or whether another person’s contact can replace the passenger’s information.

PanStar says it is not responsible for disadvantages caused by leaving optional information blank, including a missed schedule-change notice. That warning explains why a reachable email or Japan-local contact can be useful. It does not convert the optional fields into a different required identity set, and it does not guarantee that any message will arrive.

Check the format before relying on the booking

The page does not publish a universal foreign-phone format rule or promise that every overseas number will pass the booking form. It also does not say that email bypasses a rejected required contact number. Before payment, check that the form accepts the exact phone, address and passport-number format you entered and that the completed reservation shows the intended passenger.

If the required field will not validate, stop before creating a duplicate booking. The same operator page lists passenger inquiry at 1577-9996/9666. It also lists cruise1@panstar.kr for sales inquiries, an email inquiry option if the phone route is unusable. Ask which format applies to this reservation and keep the answer with the attempted booking. Neither contact substitutes for the required booking field or promises English service, a reply before departure, or acceptance of a particular foreign number.

Keep the notice route separate from payment and boarding

Save the reservation confirmation, route, sailing date, departure port and the contact details actually stored on the booking. If a schedule notice arrives, compare it with the current operator notice and booking state before changing travel plans. An email address in the reservation does not prove that a notice was delivered or read.

This field list does not state which foreign cards are accepted, whether payment succeeded, what document a terminal will accept or how a refund is returned. Resolve those questions through the booking’s actual payment and check-in terms rather than inferring them from the presence of a passport or contact field.
