Foreigners may be able to use Baemin in Korea, but nationality alone does not prove that a particular order will work. The current Baemin Global page presents the service to international visitors and shows hotel and Airbnb delivery, real-time delivery, pickup, and checkout with a familiar payment method. As of August 23, 2026, however, the readable public page does not promise that every foreign account can proceed without a Korean phone number, and it does not list specific foreign-card or wallet brands as universally accepted. Use five gates instead of a yes-or-no shortcut

If one gate is untested, the honest result is not yet verified. Installing the app, receiving one text, saving a card, or adding an item to the cart does not replace an accepted order number.
What the current official surfaces actually confirm
Baemin Global shows delivery examples including hotels, Airbnbs, and the Han River, plus real-time delivery and pickup. The official Apple App Store listing identifies Woowa Bros as the developer and lists English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese among its languages. The official Google Play listing describes permissions, delivery tracking, and regional availability limits for some services.
Those statements are not an individual approval for your device, address, account, or bank. A dated FAQ screenshot or third-party post saying “no Korean number needed” or “this foreign payment always works” must not override the conditions now shown in your app and final checkout.
Separate a contact number, SMS, and NICE identity verification
A delivery contact field, an SMS code, and Korean mobile identity verification are different gates. If the screen names NICE, asks you to choose a Korean carrier, or displays 본인인증, it is not merely checking whether a text can reach the phone. NICE’s official mobile identity description explains a process that checks carrier-registered subscriber information as well as possession of the phone. A tourist SIM displaying a Korean number does not by itself prove that this identity match is available.

Use the Korea phone number and app verification guide to distinguish SIM, SMS, and identity gates. Do not repeatedly resend the same code. Save the screen, then check another official account path, a visitor flow, or help from the accommodation without assuming any one workaround is guaranteed.
Hotel delivery requires a handoff plan
The official page’s hotel example does not mean every hotel lets a courier enter guest-room floors. Ask whether outside food delivery is allowed, whether the handoff must occur in the lobby or outside the main entrance, and whether reception accepts orders. Keep the hotel’s official Korean name and road-name address in the address record. Add a room number only when the property requires it, and share no more personal information than the handoff needs.

- Confirm that the map pin is on the main entrance, not a rear door or opposite carriageway.
- Choose one handoff point such as first-floor lobby or outside the main entrance.
- Make the booking name and pickup name recognizable to reception.
- If reception will not accept the order, watch the arrival state and go down yourself.
Treat payment display, selection, authorization, and order creation separately
The current public page does not provide a universal list of foreign cards or wallets. At the last checkout step, inspect the methods actually displayed, currency and total, any bank-app or 3-D Secure challenge, and whether an order number is created. A stored card is not an approved order. Do not submit the same transaction repeatedly. Record whether the error appears in Baemin, a payment service, or the issuing bank, and check pending or duplicate orders before building a new cart.
Make the address a record a courier can use
A usable record contains the Korean road-name address, building name, building/floor/unit, entrance, handoff point, accurate map pin, and contact fallback. Keep the Korean address untranslated. Translate only the short handoff instruction, and verify that the pin and entrance point to the same side of the building.
Test safely before the real meal
- Verify developer, supported language, and update in the official store.
- Enter the real accommodation and check whether stores and delivery times appear.
- Record whether account setup stops at contact, SMS, or NICE.
- Add a low-cost item and inspect methods and total without confirming an unwanted order.
- Ask the hotel for its delivery rule and save the Korean address, entrance, and handoff sentence.
- If you do not place an order, do not call the flow successful.

Changing the SIM, account, location, address, and card together destroys the diagnosis. First check whether an order number already exists. If it does, inspect that order rather than immediately creating another.

No universal promise is visible on the current public page. Check whether your present flow asks for a delivery contact, SMS, or formal mobile identity verification.
Will every foreign-issued card work?
No. Verify what checkout displays, the issuer’s overseas and online settings, any additional authentication, and the final order number separately.
Will the courier come to my hotel room?
That depends on the property. A hotel can be a delivery destination while still requiring the guest to meet in the lobby or outside.
